This is the first edition of English version in my blog, and hope will not be the last. I wish you have no objection since my humble language will not be as perfect as you expected. Certainly you will enjoy laughing my writing style, go ahead, amuse yourself :). Let’s start with this wonderful espresso machine made in Germany, ECM Barista, one of their home line. You may find that ECM was actually one company until some of their founders decided to separate and establish another company in Germany. The previous company, ECM which produce Giotto machine remain in Italy as you may read in my previous posting : Giotto Professional. I will not discuss the reasons behind their “divorce”, but will bring you to my unboxing edition of this wonderful machine I have ever tested.  ECM Barista. Enjoy.

Apologize for such a short posting, but this is almost 2AM and I need to pack my luggage for my overseas trip. I shall continue the second posting on Barista’s specification and performance with the hope that you will enjoy virtual espresso shot as you did before.

Over to you.

Pak Toni please share more info about this ECM Barista. The one that I have seen was ECM Technika. I don’t have any clue about the Barista.

From the picture it’s looks like an E61 HX with vibratory pump and water tank (not-plumbable), so is it save to say it is the same level with his step-brother Rocket Giotto Premium?

Is this model already have buzzer low-water alarm like Giotto Premium?
BTW the handle of Vibieme Portafilter more ergomic and looks nicer I think.

Hi Pak Budi, apparently you are very familiar with this machine 🙂
The distributor here has upgraded the machine by special request to ECM in Germany. He has asked ECM to change the pump with rotary not vibratory pump, plumb system instead of water tank, and quick steam which I loved so much. Yes, they have alarm should water level is too low. I haven’t had a chance to post its performance, but it was … powerful. Kindly wait for the next review.
